I've been seeing this cheek and lip stains all over the internet since last year. I was curious of course especially since I started with cheek and lip tints. Remember Bench lip tint and Benetint?
So, when I finally got a hold of these cheek and lip tints, I tried them on immediately.
And quite honestly, I do not know what to feel about this product.
Let's go on with the lip swatches first.
Okay, so these cheek and lip tints are very watery. It's like coloured liquid only. It's very easy to apply on your lower lip but I had difficulty applying it on my upper lip. The color won't stay on my upper lip for some weird reason. I had to purse my lips to get some color on my upper lip.
This product also has a bittersweet taste so make sure you don't taste it. It also has the tendency to transfer to your front teeth so be careful when applying.
It takes about a minute or two to dry. I smacked the back of my palm thinking my lips were already dry but it transferred to the back of my palm. After 10 minutes though, there is very minimal transfer on my cup. Forgivable.
As for the applicator, it's a roll on which I find very hygienic. This is why I didn't bother trying this on my cheeks. Maybe I'll buy another one just for my cheeks. Then again, I'm also thinking since this is very watery, it might be difficult to blend on my cheeks as compared to gel check and lip stains.
This KJM Cheek and Lip Stain is very affordable though. It only retails for PhP100-110 depending on where you purchase it. It's easy to get a hold of this as there are a lot of resellers for this product. It's a local make brand from Davao, too! So, let's support local!
The verdict: this is good for an everyday product as it is very affordable. I think this would be suitable for high school students, college students, and beginners in makeup. As for me, I kinda find this difficult to use because it is very watery and I'm not sold on the idea that is a 2-in-1 product. I still prefer the gel type of cheek and lip stains.
