Yup, you read that right. Powder lipsticks! I'm probably late to this news as a lot of bloggers have reviewed this product already. I felt the need to wait though because the shade that I always wanted to try was out of stock for months. That is the reason why I ended up with 6 shades when I was planning on purchasing only 1 for review purposes.
When I found out that one of L'Oreal's latest lipstick is in the form of a powder, I couldn't believe it. I couldn't imagine how powder could stay on the lips.
It doesn't look like your ordinary lipstick.
I have 6 out of 8 shades: Orchid Blossom, Rose Blossom, Lily Blossom, Plum Blossom, Peach Blossom, and Sakura Blossom. I'm missing Tulip Blossom and Peony Blossom.
The shades can be easily read because they are on the side of the pen-like lipsticks instead of being on the bottom.
The cover of the lipstick is where you will see the powder as seen on the photo below. The con about this? You can't really tell how much this product has. I could say it's about 3/4 full basing it from the length of the cover but we aren't sure how deep you can dip the lipstick to the powder.
Since the product (powder lipstick) is on the cover, it comes with this cure foam applicator. The foam is soft and sturdy at the same time. I twist the applicator when I dip it on the cover to get enough product.
Tint Caresse Lily Blossom on my lips.
Lily Blossom is the lightest shade in this collection. It's the perfect peach nude for me (in this collection). There was no tester when I bought this so I thought this was opaque peach/coral shade with no hint of being beige or nude. I was so happy when I opened it and saw that it's nude! Definitely a winner shade for me. This can be used at any time of the day.
Tint Caresse Sakura Blossom on my lips
Sakura Blossom is the lightest pink in this collection. I wasn't expecting to like this because pinks do not usually look good on me. But this one is a pretty shade of pink. I don't look pa-cute in this shade. It can't cover my lip lines completely though just like Lily Blossom.
Tint Caresse Peach Blossom on my lips
Peach Blossom is a medium pink shade. Never mind the name as there's no hint of peach on this shade not even on the faded colour design in the lipstick.
Tint Caresse Orchid Blossom on my lips
Orchid Blossom seems like a fuchsia shade to me. It's like the dark sister of a Barbie Pink shade. It has the right amount of brightness in it. But since I have a faint heart when it comes to pinks, I can't pull this off.
Tint Caresse Rose Blossom on my lips
Rose Blossom is a true red shade. This is another shade I wasn't expecting to like because it looks like an orange red from the outside. I usually use this shade for night outs. I'd have to say though, this shade has a lot of dupes.
Tint Caresse Plum Blossom on my lips
Plum Blossom is the darkest shade in this collection. It's more of a wine red, really, than plum. This is the my second favourite in this collection because it gives the right amount of vamp on my lips. You'd see me wearing this in the morning and at night.

This Tint Caresse from L'Oreal is dubbed as the first powder lipstick in the world. The first! Hearing the word "powder" as another kind of lipstick really makes you wonder and head to the mall to try it for yourself. Analysing the product though, it's actually cream with a powder finish. I have already tried something like this although it was a BB cream (from L'Oreal, too). The cream is finally milled and applies smoothly on the lips. The applicator was a big help, too, as it's round and the product adhere to the sponge really well. You have to twist it lightly to open the lipstick and it makes a clicking sound when you close it. It seems more secure than the usual lipstick cover. I've had lipstick covers that can be easily removed. It even separates itself from the tube when it's inside my bag at times. Annoying. It's a good ting it never happens to this Tint Caresse.
If you're a matte lipstick lover, I'm sure you will like/love this because it's matte. You will feel it's a tad creamy when applying it but it dries in a jiffy as matte. The packaging is slimmer than the usual lipstick but fatter than a lip pencil. It's like the size of a sign pen that can be easily tossed in your bag.
L'Oreal Color Riche Tint Caresse retails for PhP350 and is available at all L'Oreal counters nationwide.
