Heroine Make Quick Eyebrow*

I was restricted to wear makeup since February. No need to go into details why but as soon as I was cleared to wear at least brow makeup, I didn't think twice. Here's the caveat though: if I can avoid brow powder, avoid. I had to use eyebrow pencil as it has a lesser tendency particle fall out.

I opened my last Heroine Make Quick Eyebrow* in #01.

I'll start off with the price. This eyebrow retractable pencil retails for PhP249 and while you might think it's cheap for a famous Japanese brand, look at how much product this has. A little less than 1/3 of the length of the pencil. I've finished two of this pencil already but I've never really thought why  I finished it right away. It wasn't until I opened this third one because I finally thought of blogging about it.

This pencil reminds me of Shu Uemura's brow pencil. How? Shu Uemura's brow pencil is very hard to swatch on the skin but when you use it on your brows, it works its magic and is able to fill in your brows. It's as if it detects the hair strands. That's exactly how it is with this Heroine Make Quick Eyebrow. I had difficulty watching it at the back of my palm.

But when I used it on my brows, it was a breeze lining and filling them. On your left, you could see my bare brow. On your right, you could see my filled in brow using Heroine Make Quickbrow. If you have to ask, it's just one layer of filling it in.

For the longest time, I've been staying away from eyebrow pencils because I find them hard to use.  My hand is quite heavy so one wrong stroke ends up with a darker and uneven filled in brows.  But with this Quick Eyebrow, since its pay off is lighter than usual, it's easier to fill out my brows and not worrying that it will look uneven (shade wise).

If you're the type who prefers full brows, you can use up this brow pencil for 1 month to 1 1/2 months tops. If you're like me who prefers lighter brows, you can use this up to 3 months max. With a usual eyebrow pencil, it can take you up to about 6 months to finish a pencil.

However, between the usual eyebrow pencil and this retractable eyebrow pencil, I'd still prefer the latter. Why? I really can't perfect my brows with an eyebrow pencil. I also hate sharpening. At least with a retractable eyebrow pencil, there's no need to sharpen. Plus, it gives me an evenly shaded brows.

Heroine Make is available at SM Department Stores nationwide.
