Christmas festivities are over! But it's not the end of festivities cos we still have the New Year to celebrate!
Now, if you wanna take a breather of all the festivities and still want to eat out for a sumptuous food, then I highly suggest Locavore for you. Located along Brixton Street in Barrio Kapitolyo, Pasig, there's a chance that you'll miss this place if you aren't paying attention.
I've been hearing great feedback from this restaurant and finally got to try it one random Saturday (which was 3-4 months ago).
They always have longs lines if you don't make a reservation. Wasn't able to make a reservation because dining here wasn't planned LOL. So, we had to wait for at least 30 minutes to be seated.
Sizzling Sinigang, PhP530
We ordered one of their best sellers which is the Sizzling Sinigang. It tastes so good! It has butter and gravy but somehow it still tastes like sinigang. What makes it better is that it's beef. I don't remember having beef sinigang before.
Sugpo Con Mayonesa, PhP650
I jut had to order shrimp just because. It has aligue, garlic, butter, and japanese mayo. It had 6 pieces but I was only able to eat 3. If you like garlic, you'll like this dish.
Dinuguang Lechon, PhP550
The only order we didn't like was the dinuguang lechon. So much fusion going on with this dish, I feel like the authentic taste of dinuguan was gone. But hey, it's lechon belly so it's still okay!
Carafe of iced tea
I liked 2 of the 3 dishes we ordered in Locavore. Oh yeah, while waiting to be seated, they served us Gabi Chips (PhP150) and it was really good, too! There were others dishes we wanted to try but there was just 2 of us so we had to limit our orders.
They serve cocktails at night so in case you want to have dinner and drinks with friends, this could be your go-to restaurant. The vibe of Locavore reminds me of Central BBQ Boy though just classier. It's probably the undone industrial feel of the place. Nevertheless, the place is cozy enough.
Just remember to make a reservation so you won't have to wait long!
