Matte-nificent Red Lipsticks!*

With the recently concluded L'Oreal Paris Collection Star Matte Reds giveaway, a lot of women got so hyped up guessing the correct name of the collection! It was such a fun giveaway! When I found out that the focus of this collection were red shades, I only hoped for one thing - that I'll find the red shade I'm looking for. I want a specific red shade and I already have it in different brands but if you were to give me another one, who am I to refuse? I love the variety (of brands)!

When I saw the lipsticks on Instgram, I already knew which one I was gunning for. I'm glad they L'Oreal released that shade!

Pure Fire on my lips.

Pure Fire is endorsed by Li Bing Bing. Remember the Asian woman on Transformers? That's her! This is the only lipstick in this range with a hint of Coral. I don't have a lot of lipsticks with hints of coral or something that is somewhat orange red because I didn't think it looks good on me. Honestly, it's nice to have to this in this range and I must say that L'Oreal has done a great job creating this colour because it looks good on me!

Pure Vermeil on my lips.

Pure Vermeil is endorsed by Fan BingBing, who portrayed Blink on X-Men! The one with portal power! This shade is reddish pink. It's not purely red. I think this shade has a lot of counterpart lipsticks from different brands. It's not a totally unique shade but I do understand why this is included in this collection. After all, not all of use want to use a pure red her whole life!

Pure Amaranthe on my lips.

I find Pure Amaranthe to be the odd lot in this range. I don't know, it's pink on my lips. I like the shade but it has more pink talaga eh! This shade is endorsed by Gong Li.

Pure Scarleto on my lips.

Before finding out I was going to have a fast L'Oreal giveaway, I saw this lipstick at Target but never really paid attention to it. My mind was somewhere else. But when I saw the ad and saw Blake Lively, I told myself that I wanted the lipstick she was wearing. Pure Scarleto is endorsed by Blake Lively! I love her from Gossip Girl days! My mom said this shade looks so good on me.

Pure Brick on my lips.

Pure Brick is endorsed by Aishwarya Rai. I don't know her but I think she's an Indian actress. I read from a few reviews that this collection somewhat varies per continent when it comes to endorsers. This is a shade that I love because it makes me look matured - not old - just matured. It makes me look my age! No? Okay! Haha! I know I have a lipstick that is similar to this shade but I just can't remember what brand. My mom also likes this lipstick but I refuse to give it to her. Sorry, Emma.

Pure Rouge on my lips.

Pure Rouge is endorsed by Freida Pinto. She also endorsed one of L'Oreal's Nude lipsticks last year. I'm not sure who she is (will Google later na lang). I gotta say this is the reddest red in this collection! The truest of the truth (may ganun ba?!) This reminds me of MAC Riri Woo/Ruby Woo. Now, why did I sell those lippies again? Haha! I thought I'm done with this kind of red but damn, this looks nice on me! #chairlift you guys.

Pure Ruby on my lips.

In the states, Pure Ruby is endorsed by J.Lo! But here, it's endorsed by a different actress. I don't know who. It says 'chom' on the tube. This shade is very similar to Pure Rouge with a hint of pink. Just a hint. I love this lipstick, too. Lakas maka-fresh!

Pure Garnet on my lips.

Pure Garnet is endorsed by Sonam Kapoor. Oh my gosh, I love this lipstick! This is my ultimate favourite lipstick in this collection! Even before I received these lipsticks, I already made a comment on Instagram that I like the darker shade. I was told that it's Pure Garnet and by then, I knew. It's my new favourite! This is the darkest red shade in this collection but it's the prettiest IMHO! You can see guys, I'm biased. Pak na pak ang posing ko sa photos! It's such a vampy colour it reminds me of MAC Diva, Colourpop Dalia, and Happy Skin's Hot Stuff.

I love this collection because all the shades look good on me (according to my mom, LOL). Another thing that makes me love this collection even more is the fact that they are matte lipsticks! I love matte lipsticks! This is not your usual matte lipsticks as this is not drying on your lips. It doesn't tug when you apply it on your lips. It's quite moisturising, actually. Heres the killer part, it stays on your lips for a long time considering this is a drugstore brand. I didn't expect much about its longevity so I was really impressed that Pure Garnet was still intact on my lips during and after having dinner buffet. I even had to wipe off the lipstick using tissue because I got too conscious. I was wearing Pure Garnet and it s a dark shade of lipstick. It could get ugly if it starts to smear when I'm eating. It also left a nice stain on my lips and it was still there when I woke up the following day. Amazing, simply amazing! I totally recommend this to anyone who loves red lipsticks and/or matte lipsticks!
