Colour Collection Lip Perfection Lipstick*

I've always loved Colour Collection's Lip Therapy ever since I got to try it last 2013.  It really moisturises my lips and eventually made it even softer.  At the back of my mind, I was thinking that Colour Collection must come up with a lipstick version of their lip therapy.  But then I thought, maybe it wouldn't work out because lip therapy is too soft for a lipstick.  So, when I received the Colour Collection Lip Perfection lipsticks from my Sample Room family - its description is that it has Argan Oil and it's actually inspired from lip therapy - I knew I was in for a treat!

Lip Perfection lipstick in Bella, Amore, and Crema

I like the shades of the samples I received.  It fits every occasion.  Here's a swatch of the lipsticks.  They are rather creamy but surprisingly not as soft as the texture of Lip Therapy.

Bella (top), Amore (middle), and Crema (bottom)

The first lipstick I used was Crema because I'm partial to nudes.  I love the fact that it doesn't wash me out.  It's not a nude-y beige but more of a pinkish beige which fits Asian skin perfectly.  Want to look simple and naive?  This could be your best bet.

Crema on my lips. Demure effect? Achieved!

Bella is a pink shade with a bluish tone. From the tube, it looks like a true pink like a darker version of Barbie pink.  When I applied it on my lips, it's darker than I thought but it still screams pink.  If you want a little sophistication, this could be your best bet.  The shade is a bit on the darker side but it's definitely wearable during day time.

If there's nude and pink, then there's gotta be red! From the tube, it looks like orange red but when I applied it on my lips, it is a true red - which I love! Orange lipsticks do not look good on my true NC20 skin tone (YES! Que horror!)! I love Amore because it instantly brightens up my face. Notice how my face (with Amore on my lips) is the brightest among the three photos.  While some reds can make you look pale, Amore brings back life to your face. Going to a serious meeting? Or are you closing a deal? Then whip this tube out and use it.  You'll come home a winner.

Staying power of this lipstick is quite impressive.  Well, Crema lasts for 4 hours or until I eat.  Bella and Amore will stain your lips and give you a just-bitten-lips effect when it starts to fade.  I like it when a lipstick leaves a stain on my lips.  It's like changing lipstick shades within the day but really, it just faded! LOL!

Lip Perfection is a moisturizing lipstick that doesn't make your lips look wet like most moisturising lipsticks do.  I can see how this is similar to Lip Therapy in a sense that they both have Argan Oil. Although I think Lip Perfection has lesser Argan Oil content cos it doesn't melt like Lip Therapy and the latter melts like crazy.

Colour Collection Lip Perfection retails for PhP399 and can only be purchased from Colour Collection dealers.  You can get this for free at Sample Room if they still have stocks.

  8. I have not tried the Lip Therapy lipsticks but what I have was the Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipsticks from Sample Room last year. Their lipsticks last and indeed moisturise my lips. I think I have to ask my colleague who's a Colour Collection dealer for their latest catalogue and check this one out (^_^)
