Food Escapade at Yardstick Coffee

It's been awhile since my last Food Esapade post featuring another coffee shop.  I didn't stop exploring.  I just keep on lagging.  Like this post for example.  I took these photos almost a year ago, LOL!

Croughnut was a big craze last 2012 or 2013.  Croughnuts popped out left and right.  Then there was Bronuts which was only available every weekend in Powerplant Mall.  They eventually offered coffee to match the bronut.  That coffee was called/branded Yardstick Coffee.

When L and I found out that Yarstick Coffee has its own coffee shop, we instantly included it in our To-Go list.

How do you like this latté art, my dear?

Yardstick Coffee shop can be quite difficult to find the first time you go there. It doesn't have a big signage telling you "hey, we're located right here!" You'll see this sign though:

And this sign. Isn't this a line from one of Coldplay's song?  But hey, it's very true.  So, try their coffee, we did.

Their menu.  I like the modern industrial feel to this coffee shop. Makes me feel brand new!

Instead of the usual cake/pastry refrigerator or cooler (ok, I don't know what it's called but you know what I mean), they have one table covered in glass so you can see through it.  They just pull it out when they have to get the food.

This is where they prepare the coffee. Unlike most coffee shops where the coffee is prepared behind the cashier, Yardstick has a bar in the middle of the coffee shop. You can see there are tables behind for customers.  I guess it's also their way of showing how clean they keep this coffee shop.

They also sell fillers, coffee beans, and French Press etc etc.

They offer coffee workshops! How cool is this? L and I are interested to take one of their workshops once once house is totally done!  You see, L and I have dreams of becoming baristas.

Yardstick Coffee is located along Esteban Street, Makati City.  Go to Rufino Street, and once you see Murphy's Bar on the corner, turn on that corner.  Yardstick Coffee is beside it.  Just look for the Y signage on the floor (if you can even notice it).

Follow me! No? Yes? Yey!

  2. I also love the latte` art! I want to learn how to do that. As I remember I tried to design my coffee using the 3-in-1 nescafe in cappucino flavor because it has a free sprinkles on it. So I used it along with condesed milk to design my coffee. Sadly, hindi ko sya nagawa. Hahaha :) Although, it's fun naman.

But hey, If you'll never try, you'll never know, right? Haha

  3. I think they won't put a very obvious sign to keep the curiousity.
