Spend VS Save: Nars Blush/Bronzer Duo in Orgasm/Laguna and E.L.F. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in St.Lucia

There are several conclusions on the topic whether the E.L.F Blush/Bronzer Duo is the perfect dupe for the ever famous NARS Blush/Bronzer Duo in Orgasm and Laguna.

I love NARS Cosmetics and Orgasm blush is probably the first makeup product I've acquired from the brand.  4 empty pans later, I still find myself liking it.  But of course, I've always preferred the Blush/Bronzer Duo for practical purposes.

When I saw the Blush/Bronzer Duo from E.L.F., the first thing that came to my mind was its counterpart from NARS.  I immediately purchased one to see if the shades are tres tres similar to NARS.  After all, the blush/bronzer duo from E.L.F. is only PhP249.50 (roughly about USD5) while the ones from NARS is USD42.

Food Escapade at Open Kitchen

I love exploring the restaurants in Kapitolyo.  It gives me a fresh breathe of choices from the restaurants in the malls.

Since we live nearby, L and I told ourselves that we'll try all the restaurants in Kapitolyo.  We've definitely eaten at more than 5 restaurants there but as much as we want to eat out often in Kapitolyo, we also have to schedule our visit there cos our weekends are really jammed.

When L picked me up in the office after our team building, we headed straight to Kapitolyo for dinner.  The restaurant that we wanted to dine in was full so looked for another one.

We came across Open Kitchen, literally and figuratively.

I wasn't able to take a photo of the restaurant but it does give me a fresh vibe.  There's a part of the restaurant that's open air.  You can see right through the kitchen but not its entirety.

I wasn't that hungry so I ordered pasta.  I don't remember the name of the pasta but it has pesto and bacon (?).

L ordered pork belly.  It was so good!  So good!  This is a must try!

For appetizer, we ordered salad.  I liked this because it has strawberries and mushrooms.  And the mixed veggies are not your usual mixed greens.

One thing I noticed with Open Kitchen is that the chefs are usually the ones to serve the food.  Then they make a little explanation on the food that we ordered.

We also ordered iced tea and this special drink that wasn't on the menu.  Well, we were surprised when we got the bill because that special drink cost PhP200++ for a glass - a glass wine!  For everything that we ordered, we paid PhP1,700++ for dinner.  So, on average, each serving is about PhP450.00.

Despite their dishes being a little pricey, I see myself coming back to this restaurant.  Their desserts sound yummy and if I wasn't full the night we dined here, I would have ordered dessert.  I wan't to try their salted caramel cheesecake!

Better late than never, yes?

This has been in my drafts for a while and I wasn't aware that I wasn't able to publish it!  Sorry for the delay.

I'm sure most of you have seen the contents of BDJ's December 2014 Box.  It's another exclusive from another makeup brand, Covergirl!  I think this is the first time BDJ has featured Covergirl in any of their boxes.

Consider this a great Christmas gift from BDJ!

A girl can never have too much makeup.

Getting Hitched Series: The Ring that Sets the Deal

Most couples get engaged because the boyfriend proposed - and usually with a ring.  When I got engaged, one of the things I was frequently asked was about the ring.

"Can I see your ring?!?"
"Do you like your ring?!?"

Here's the thing. Before I got engaged, L and I had discussed about the rings (and jewelry) that I like. In general.  Not exactly about engagement rings.  For a band, it's either plain or an eternity ring.  Nothing too complicated when it comes to its design.  But I did mention a black diamond would be nice. I might have also said nothing less than 1 carat and that it had to be a Tiffany ring (a girl can dream, right?).

Beauty Budget Series: In2it Waterproof Eyebrow Colour

I've been wanting to make a review about this powder but it took me almost one year to do this because I keep on forgetting about it - in a good way.

I'm known for changing/alternating makeup every two weeks.  While that is the case, eyebrow product is probably the only product that I don't change frequently.  I basically alternate between powder and gel and pencil when I'm travelling.

I fixed my travel toiletry case today and saw this eyebrow product on one of the pockets. So, aha, it's up for a review!

This is my second pan and I'm proud of it!

Lime Crime Velvetines

There's something about matte lipsticks that make me go gaga over it.  It's just really my preference for lipstick over the moisturising ones even if it makes my lips look drier than it really is.

When Lime Crime Velvetines became available here in Manila thru online resellers, I was one of those ladies who pre-ordered upon its first release.  I got back ups too because I was sure I was going to love this product.

Did I love Velvetines?

Food Escapade at Sariwon Korean Barbecue

I love Korean food basically because of Samgyeupsal.  Not a fan of spicy food or anything child. Au contraire, I love Samgyeupsal dipped in chili paste.  Just talking about it now makes me crave for it already.

During one of those times when L and I used to have lunch together, we somehow ended up at Sariwon Korean Barbecue.  They didn't have Samgyeupsal though but their other servings look appetising enough.  So, why not.

We were so tired when we got back from Japan, so instead of cooking food, we dined at this dainty restaurant near our condominium.

It's so homey inside and full of good and positive vibes.

Used and Abused: Fairydrops Mascara

If there's one makeup product that I do not buy on a whim, it's definitely mascara.  For one thing, it dries fast.  Second, I almost always get panda eyes after 4-5 hours of wearing it.

Me and Mascara don't click like that, yo.

Then there was Fairydrops.

My 2014 was a blast!  There were a lot of changes (mostly good) in my life and this is probably the happiest I have ever been (as we speak)!  I'd like to thank everyone for still visiting this blog regardless of my lack of updates.  If you follow me on other social media networks, you probably know why I was on a hiatus for so long *wink wink*.

This giveaway was supposed to be for Christmas (2014) but my schedule got really busy and hectic that it had to be pushed for the new year!  But hey, who says giveaways are limited during Christmas time?!

So, this blog is starting the year right by having a giveaway!  As always, I make it super easy to join giveaways.  That's just how I roll, LOL!

There will be two winners for this giveaway.  The first box includes Estee Lauder's best selling lipstick, Bois de Rose! The second box includes Colour Collection's Ultimate Wear Lipsticks!
