Food Escapade at Mitsuyado Sei-Men: The House of Tsukemen

Last month, Lawrence and I decided to eat at Mitsuyado.  This restaurant is very near my office.  It's actually along Jupiter Street only but since I don't frequent Jupiter Street, Mitsuyado was non-existent to me until I saw it.

I only found out about this restaurant when my cousin told me to meet her there briefly.  When Lawrence and I went inside, we were immediately amazed with it.  It just has a nice feel to it!

From the outside, you'd think it's just another Japanese restaurant.  But lo and behold, when you go inside, it makes you feel like you're dining outdoor!

You see, I thought this was just for display.
It's apparently a legit dining table.

You can see the kitchen from the dining area.

The other Japanese shops were closed. LOL.

Karashi Ramen (large), PhP330

Ebi Tempura, PhP280.00

Lawrence got Karashi Ramen lunch set which entitles you to get their Gyoza for only PhP100.00.  We ordered that, too, but I wasn't able to take a photo of it.

I wasn't able to try the ramen because it was spicy and I don't like spicy.  I had the ebi tempura which was okay.  Nothing special but it's something that I could order again.  Their Gyoza was okay, too.  It's rather big compared to the other gyozas I've seen.

Mitsuyado is not your usual Japanese restaurant.  They are more focused on Ramen and the like.  I don't even remember seeing sushi on their menu (but I might be wrong).  One of their specialties was the Cheese Ramen and I kind of wanted to try it but decided against it cos it doesn't look appealing from the photos.  I've heard good reviews about that, though.

I really love the ambiance of this restaurant.  It somehow reminds me of Streetlife Glorietta back in the day.  I just love the feeling of dining outdoor when you're actually indoor.  There's a Japanese bakery next to Mitsuyado and I guess it's owned by the same owners since there is a communal door to get to the bakery from the restaurant.  We weren't able to check it out though cos we were in a hurry since we ate here during lunch time of an office day.

I want to go back to Mitsuyado and try the cheese ramen or whenever I am craving for Ebi Tempura since it's fairly near my house.

Mitsuyado Sei-Men is located at #22 Jupiter Street corner Galazy Street, Bel-Air, Makati (near EDSA side).
