I always get compliments that I have flawless skin (thank you to those that said that and no, hindi po ako nagbubuhat ng sariling bangko - konti lang LOL). But flawless as my skin seem, I have large pores. Of course, you wouldn't be able to see them unless you're less than 1 feet away from me.
Quite frankly, I've always known I have large pores but I was never insecure about it. I've had several check ups in Belo and my dermatologist always tells me that I do have large pores and even though there are medicines to make the pores smaller and other alternatives to make it "invisible", the best thing to do to minimize it is to go through several treatments. Well, that means ka-ching ka-ching for them.
I was like, "nah, I'm confident with my large pores.."
BUT!
Like you didn't know it's coming, haha! There are just so many pore eliminator products out there! And who am I to resist, right? I never bought a full size of pore eliminators products though because they are expensive.
Good thing, Maybelline came up with their own pore eliminator product!
Maybelline Pore Eraser, PhP299.00
silicone!
Here's my bare face. My large pores say hello!
My face with Pore Eraser +
Celeteque's BB Cream
Basing from the photos above, it is apparent that the pores became smaller. I wouldn't really say my pores were erased or eliminated because I can still see my pores on the last photo. The Pore Eraser, however, really made my pores look smaller which is fine by me.
Pros:
- very affordable at PhP299 (the cheapest pore eliminator I've seen)
- no weird smell
- lightweight
- non-comodegenic (this is debatable)
- widely available
- can be used as a primer
- helps in making your makeup stay longer
- didn't break me out
Cons:
- I think this can clog your pores
Overall, I like this product. I would actually repurchase because it's so cheap. Benefit's Porefessional is more than PhP1,000 per tube. Virginia Olsen's Pore Eliminator is priced higher than PhP299 (I can't remember the exact price, my bad). This product is optional though. You can still apply your foundation without having to use this. But if you have large pores and conscious about it, then this is your temporary remedy!
Any thoughts on this? Happy Thursday, everyone!

Nice review, I think its really a nice pore eraser since its really affordable and I think worth to have! I love the final look with Celeteque BB cream(I'm loving this BB cream).
ReplyDeleteLoving it!♥
The bb cream and pore eraser combo is great :)
ReplyDeleteWow! I wish I got this in India! But then... All hail amazon.com! :D
ReplyDeleteTrue, all hail amazon.com :)
ReplyDeleteDo a review anout this product if you get a hold of it :)
was totally convinced to try this product because of this post! but pore eraser plus maybelline liquid foundation didn't work on me! :( pores are still super visible, parang walang effect yung pore eraser (btw, we have the same size of pores, basing from the picture, haha) anyway, ill try it with celeteque's bb cream and see if its gonna work
ReplyDeleteI stopped using Maybelline's foundation in 2011. It's cakey and really gives my face a white cast when i takes photos with flash.
ReplyDeleteI use foundation from the ff brands: Urban Decay, MeMeMe, Revlon, Essence, and L'oreal. BB creams from this brands: Missha, TCFS, Celeteque, L'oreal and Hayan.
I've used them all at least once with the pore eraser and it looked okay :)
I use celeteque's facial mist mosturizer instead of a gel moisturizer so the products won't rub off as particles :)
