As a makeup lover, you are always searching for a Holy Grail product - the best of the best. It really is a big help when there are a lot of raves about certain products and they all basically say the same thing - that this or that product is the best! Sometimes, what is wrong with reading rave reviews is that you end up buying the product even if you don't need to. I know it's not exactly a good trait BUT I also know that I am not the only woman experiencing this.
Now, that was exactly why I purchased K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner. I got mine in Korea since it is slightly cheaper. I didn't bother swatching or testing it out anymore because I was more than convinced that this product works.

That's how the liner look on my eyes.
It sure is pigmented.
Applied around 9am.
After 4 hours, the liner transferred to my lids.
What happened to the claim that it stays on for 24hrs?
Who wouldn't be disappointed upon seeing this?
Around 5pm of the same day, I put eyedrop on my left eye..
and this happened! Runny eyeliner!
This is the first time that this happened to me!
I don't remember an eyeliner that smeared this much on my eyes.
So, I still gave it benefit of the doubt that maybe it's because of the fact that I didn't have anything on my lids except for the eyeliner. Maybe I should have put eye primer before lining my eyes. (But like, hello! Majolica Majorca's eyeliner doesn't smudge like this and I use it without primer) So, over the weekend, I used the eyeliner again buy applied eye primer and beige eyeshadow first. I did my makeup around 11am. When I got home at 7pm, I checked my lids and saw this:
It freaking transferred to my lids again even with primer and eyeshadow!
I thought this K-Palette eyeliner would be the answer to my disappointing Majolica Majorca automatic eyeliner. But this turned out to be worse than Majolica Majorca. I am so disappointed in this product! What baffles me is the rave that I have been reading online. I know my lids are oily but I don't think that my lids are THAT oily that I am the only one that experienced this with this eyeliner. It just doesn't make sense to me. It's so frustrating because it was almost perfect. The applicator was exactly what I wanted. The richness of black is awesome! But it doesn't last for 24 hours. Heck it didn't even last me 4 hours.
Lesson learned. It's one thing to read a review. It's another thing to be swept by it and be disappointed with the outcome.
Happy eyeliner hunting everyone!
