Summer Face Routine

Here's a quick video on how I prep my face during summer.  I try not to use foundation during summer because I don't want my makeup to melt because of the heat!

Also, I am letting my skin breathe as I always put heavy coverage of foundation on my face.

All products used are from the BDJ Box!  So, if you are a subscriber, you already have the products I used.

Products mentioned:
Celeteque cleansing oil
Garnier facial scrub
AHAVA facial moisturizer
Revlon suede lipstick in Runway

Enjoy watching!

Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder

Ben Nye's Banana Luxury Powder has been making waves since last year.  I've heard of this brand way back in 2008 but never paid much attention to it because it wasn't available in Manila.

Well, it's still not widely available in Manila until now.  But it's good to know that you can get a hold of this product at some online sellers.  I've always heard good reviews about Ben Nye in general.  So, when I found out that this powder was back in stock, I joined the bandwagon!

Grand Launching of Too Cool for School in Manila

Last April 19, I went to Mall of Asia for Too Cool for School's grand launching.  I thought of not going because I was coming all the way from Virginia Olsen's office for their launching of their summer makeup.  However, the launching of VO ended early so I ended up going to Mall of Asia.

And I'm glad that I did!

I had a hard time finding the store because the map was a bit confusing.  I also asked the guards in duty and sadly, they didn't know where the store was!  It took me about ten minutes to find it, haha!

When I got there, there were already alot of people inside.  I was greeted by ladies at the registration table and they gave me my loot (yay!).

Food Escapade at Ba-be-Q Restaurant

Last week, Lawrence and I finally tried Ba-be-Q Restaurant.  I usually pass by this restaurant and what caught my attention was their tarpauline that says, "Samgyeupsal eat-all-you-can for 399!"  I really think it's a good deal!  I love Samgyeupsal!  Lawrence loves it too so when I told him about it, we told ourselves that we have to eat at Ba-be-Q!

So, after watching Iron Man 3, we went to Ba-be-Q for late dinner.  The owner was there and assisted us first before turning us over to the waiters.  We ordered for the eat all you can samgyeupsal!  What makes it an even better deal is that the side dishes are refillable for free!  Even their rice is refillable for free!

condiments.
sesame oil with salt, soy sauce, and chili sauce

soup

kimchi

original Samgyeupsal

sweet Samgyeupsal

spicy Samgyeupsal

lettuce for Samgyeupsal

spicy bean sprouts

steamed rice

How they serve their food is similar to the restaurants I've eaten in Korea.  Steamed rice is also served in that covered silver cup.  Well, I haven't dined in a lot of Korean restaurants here in Manila so I can't compare Ba-be-Q with the other Korean restaurants here.  Of course, Bulgogi Brothers is an exception because it is a franchise restaurant from Seoul.

There is an assigned waiter per table and they will be the one to cook the food in front of you.  Think of shabu shabu style.  It's actually a plus for me that the waiters cook because well, they can cook.  Duh.  I don't think the samgyeupsal would taste as good as it did if I was the one that cooked it.  I don't trust my cooking skills. Haha!

I will definitely go back to this restaurant because I really love Samgyeupsal!  For those that don't know, Samgyeupsal is equivalent to Korean bacon.  In Korea a plate of Samgyeupsal is at least KRW12,000.00 or PhP315.  So you're actually getting a good deal for this eat-all-you-can Samgyeupsal!

Ba-be-Q Restaurant is located on the ground floor of A-venue in Makati Avenue.
